Appliance Repair FAQ
Answers about service areas, brands, scheduling, repairs, and warranty coverage.
Scheduling & service area
Rancho Palos Verdes is our home base, and we regularly serve San Pedro, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Lomita, Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Manhattan Beach. See our service area pages for city-specific details.
We're open Monday through Friday, 7AM to 8PM, and Saturday 8AM to 6PM. We're closed Sundays. You can call, text, or book online any time — we'll get back to you the next time we're open.
Same-day appointments may be available depending on the route, current call volume, and whether the repair needs a part we don't already have on hand. Call or text (424) 365-9555 and we'll tell you honestly what's realistic for your address that day.
Call or text (424) 365-9555, or use the Book Online button to request an appointment through our scheduling system. All three go to the same place, so use whichever is easiest for you.
Pricing, diagnostics & warranty
The diagnostic is free with repair: the fee is waived when you approve and complete the proposed work. If we can't fix it, you don't pay. If you decide not to move forward, the office confirms the applicable diagnostic charge before anything is billed.
That's fine — the technician tests the appliance, explains what's actually wrong, and gives you an estimate before doing any repair work. If you'd rather not proceed once you hear the diagnosis, you're only responsible for the diagnostic fee, not the full repair cost.
Yes. Completed repair work is covered by a 90-day warranty from the date of service.
Not an exact one, and we'd rather not guess. Two appliances with the same symptom can have completely different causes and costs, so accurate pricing comes from an in-person diagnostic rather than a phone description. We can usually give you a general sense of what's likely, but the real number comes after the technician looks at it.
Brands & appliances
We repair refrigerators and freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, gas and electric ovens, ranges, and cooktops.
Both. We service common brands such as GE, Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, Bosch, KitchenAid, Maytag, and Frigidaire, along with premium and built-in brands like Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, and Thermador. See our full brands list for details.
Yes. Built-in and panel-ready refrigerators, ranges, and dishwashers need a different approach than freestanding units, including more careful cabinet access and model-specific parts research.
Call or text us and ask — our brand pages cover the ones we service most often, but that's not a complete list of everything we can work on. It only takes a minute to find out.
What to expect
It depends on the age of the unit, the cost of the repair relative to a replacement, and how the appliance has held up otherwise. A single isolated failure on a unit that's otherwise reliable usually favors repair; a major failure on an older unit nearing the end of its typical service life is worth weighing more carefully.
Clear a path to the appliance so it's easy to access, and if you can, jot down what you've noticed — when the problem started, any error codes, unusual sounds, or what you were doing when it happened. That context helps the technician test the right things first instead of starting from scratch.
It depends on the diagnosis. Common parts for popular models are often available same-visit, but some repairs need a specific part ordered for your exact model — the technician will tell you which situation you're in and what to expect before scheduling anything further.
No — appliance removal and disposal isn't part of a repair visit. If you replace rather than repair, many retailers include haul-away with a new delivery, which is worth asking about when you purchase the replacement.
